VOLUME 1 WHEN THE HEAT COOLS OFF The daughter of a man Doyle put in prison claims to have new evidence to exonerate her father. Doyle agrees to reopen the case but are his feelings for the girl clouding his judgement? FALL GIRL Bodie and an old girlfriend arrange to meet. Her husband catches them out and rigs evidence pointing to Bodie being a killer of a diplomat. Bodie is detained by MI6 but escapes. On the run, Bodie can now trust nobody; MI6, his girlfriend nor even CI5 ! VOLUME 2 OLD DOG WITH NEW TRICKS A gang leader in prison is desperate to get out. His brother realises it would be useless to try to spring him from maximum security jail. A better way would be to "bargain" for his freedom using the Home Secretary, whom his plans to kidnap KLANSMAN A lawyer steps in to halt the illegal evictions of some black tenants but finds himself to be a target of the Ku Klux Klan. A young man tries to help but is killed. VOLUME 3 HEROES A second assassination attempt on a visiting American Politician is successful but witnesses are named by the press when the story hits the headlines. DEAD RECKONING The extradition of a spy to Britain is to be kept secret, but the Bulgarians who sent him seem to be doing everything to make his arrival public. When the man is murdered, CI5 suspect his daughter. VOLUME 4 CLOSE QUARTERS A wealthy British businessman is murdered by a ruthless terrorist group. Bodie captures one of the gang, but the rest of the terrorists show up. After a terrifying car chase Bodie, his girlfriend and the captured terrorist take refuge but the gang are closing in. MAN WITHOUT A PAST A bomb explodes near Bodie's restaurant table, seriously injuring his girlfriend and many others. But who has targeted them and why?
